Using Advanced Properties To Manage Resources
You can set up multiple categories to manage reservations for conference rooms, facilities, vehicles, equipment or any resource to be used exclusively for one event at a time:
- Create a category for each resource to be managed. Go to Admin Menu -> Categories -> Add or Edit Category
Note: name categories appropriately. For example: Large Conference Room, Small Conference Room, Auditorium, Gymnasium.
- To prevent double booking of the resource, click Advanced Properties Tab -> Check option F. Do not allow conflicting events.
- If the category has conflicting events in the past, we recommend also checking option G. Ignore events in the past
- To allow logged in users to book their own events but not change other user bookings, check option D. Allow logged in users to create events.
- Uncheck option D. to allow only managers and administrators to book events.
