How do I create an Upcoming Events List for my web page?

Administrators can create an Upcoming Events List to be included on any web page. Your CalendarWiz calendar always has one Upcoming Events List theme available, the master theme, which cannot be deleted. The master theme is indicated in the theme list by the (master) suffix. You can change and save any setting for the master theme and Save the settings. You can also rename the master theme.
Note: The master theme is always loaded for editing when you first enter the Upcoming Events List admin screen.
Login as Administrator -> Go to Admin Menu -> Web Widgets -> Upcoming Events List ->
Follow the steps below to set options for the Upcoming Event List.
1.
The Preview Window shows what your Upcoming Event List will look like on a web page.  Changing the color, font and style options on the screen will automatically update the preview. The master theme is always loaded for editing when you first enter the Upcoming Events List administration screen.
You must Save your settings before changes will appear on your web page.  If there are no events currently in your calendar, the preview will display example events.
2.
Go to the Script Tab. You must check the box "Check To Enable Upcoming Event Lists" to enable the Upcoming Events List feature.

Click on category names to "Choose One or More Categories" from which events will be selected to appear in the Upcoming Event List.  Only public categories are listed for security reasons.

Copy and paste the "JavaScript Code For Theme" wherever you want the Upcoming Event List to appear.

This code can be placed between <td> and </td> or between <div> and </div> html tags.  The JavaScript code will cause the Upcoming Event List to expand within your html tags when your web page is loaded into a user's browser.

IMPORTANT: Many times JavaScript is entered in a web page's <head> tag or after the </html> tag.  Do not enter the Upcoming Events List JavaScript in these areas on your web page.

You Must Save Your Settings For Changes To Be Visible On Your Web Page.  We recommend opening your web page with the JavaScript code in a separate browser, using the Save button on to save your settings and then refreshing your web page to view the affect of your changes.  Use the Save and Back button to return to the Admin Menu.
3.
Go to the List Tab.  Enter "Heading Text" that will appear at the top of your upcoming event list. Here you can adjust List Width, List Height, Background and Border Colors.

Optionally you may choose a "Heading Icon" from the list to appear in the heading section of the Upcoming Events List. You may also select Use Category Link For Header and Bottom” to link the header and bottom to the full calendar with categories included in the Upcoming Events List.
4.
Go to the Events Tab. Here you control the following characteristics.

Max Events to be displayed. Events are selected and displayed in the sequence of their start dates and times.  This value cannot exceed 50 events.
Days Ahead to display
Message To Display If No Events:This text will appear in the upcoming events list if there are no events in the selected calendar categories to be shown.

Maximum Number of Characters For Event Descriptions:This determines the maximum length of detailed event descriptions that will be shown in the upcoming events list.  Longer descriptions will be truncated at this number of characters.  Users may view the full detailed descriptions for an event by clicking on the event title.
