How do I import CalendarWiz events into a Blackberry?

These instructions assume you have already exported your CalendarWiz events (via the Export Button on your calendar navigation bar) to a file using the "Comma Separated Values Format for Blackberry (.csv)" format and that you know the location of the export file on your computer (default CalendarWiz_Export.csv)

A. Configure BlackBerry Desktop Manager (one time step)

You only need to perform these configuration steps once to set up importing into BlackBerry.  Subsequent imports require only 2 steps as outlined below in section B.

1. Plug your Blackberry device into your computer's USB port / dock.

2. Open the Blackberry Desktop Manager program on your computer.

3. On the Main Menu, click on Synchronize

4. On the Synchronize screen, under Configuration, click on Synchronization

5. Click on the Synchronization button

6. On the Select Device Application screen, click on Calendar

7. On the Select a desktop application screen, click on ASCII Importer/Exporter and click Next >

8. On the Synchronization options screen, click on One way sync to Device

9. On the ASCII Importer/Exporter options screen, click on Options, verify the following settings and click OK

10. On the ASCII Importer/Exporter options screen, select your preference for Calendar date range, then under Database file for ASCII Importer/Exporter connector, click on Browse and select your CalendarWiz Export file, then click Next

Note: If you use the same file name for all your CalendarWiz exports you will not need to repeat these configuration steps again.

11. You will then see the Congratulations screen indicating your Configuration is completed.  Click on Finish, then OK to return to the Synchronization configuration screen.

B. Perform Synchronization

Once you have configured the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, you only need to perform the following steps to import additional CalendarWiz export files.

1. On left hand side of the Synchronize menu, click on Synchronize

2. On the Synchronize screen, click on the Synchronize button

The BlackBerry Desktop Manager program will now read the CalendarWiz export file and put the contents into your Blackberry device's calendar.

Click on the Blackberry Desktop Manager program help for assistance in choosing any synchronization options you may encounter.
