How do I export events into Palm?

There are two ways to export events from CalendarWiz and import them into Palm devices.

1. Import into Outlook then sync with Palm:  This method is recommended because it takes advantage of Outlook's ability to prevent duplicate events.  This method requires you to be able to sync Outlook to Palm using Pocketmirror or Hotsync.  Follow these steps:
   
   
   1. Click on Export button in the gray navigation bar
      
      Note: If you don't see the Export button, your calendar administrator may have disabled this feature.  Try logging into the calendar to see the Export button.
      
   2. Select date range and categories to be exported.
   3. Select the Export format Comma Separated Values
   4. Press the "Export" button and save the file to a location on your computer.  The file will be named "CalendarWiz _Export.csv".
      
   5. Open Microsoft Outlook.
   6. On Outlook's menu bar, go to "File" then select the "File Import and Export..." menu option.
   7. Choose "Import from another program or file" and click "Next"
      
      Note: At this step you may get a message that reads "Outlook cannot start the required translator. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?"  If you see this message, insert your Microsoft Office installation disk and click Yes.  If you do not have your Microsoft Office disk, go back and create a vCalendar export file which will import into Outlook without the translators installed
      
   8. Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click "Next".
   9. Click on the "Browse..." button and select the file "CalendarWiz_Export.csv" and click "OK".
   10. Select "Replace duplicates with items imported" and click "Next".
   11. Select Calendar and click "Next". Click on "Finish" and your file will be imported into Outlook.
   12. Use PocketMirror or HotSync to sync Outlook to the Palm device
       
       
2. Import into Palm desktop and then sync with Palm:
   
   
   1. Click on Export button in the gray navigation bar

   2. Select date range and categories to be exported.
   3. Select the Export format vCalendar Interchange Format
   4. Press the "Export" button and save the file to a location on your computer.  The file will be named "CalendarWiz _Export.vcs".
      
   5. Open Palm Desktop on your computer.
      Go to the Palm Desktop Calendar view.
   6. On Palm Desktop menu bar, go to "File" then select the "Import..." menu option.
   7. At the bottom of the file "Import" screen, select Files of type: "vCal File (.vcs)".
   8. Locate the file "CalendarWiz_Export.vcs" and click "Import".  The file will then be imported into the Palm Desktop calendar.
   9. Synchronize your Palm handheld with Palm Desktop using Hotsync.
