Smartupdate provides a way to edit repeating events without overwriting all event occurrences. This is a helpful option if your calendar has a lot of repeating events and you need to keep historical record of individual event content.
Turn on Smartupdate:
Go to Admin Menu> Calendar Options > Advanced tab
Check "Enable Smart Update when editing repeating events" > Save
Quick Tips:
1. Smartupdate editing options will appear when editing "all events in this series" and only after you click the [Save] button.
2. To edit a repeating series of events for a date going forward:
Click to (edit) event > select "Edit all events in the series" > make updates > Save
Choose to update only the events with a "date on or after" to avoid changing events that occurred prior to that date.
[Save] changes.
